I know the “Santa Baby” thing was a joke, but if you wants a female Santa try “Call me Claus”.
Given the time period when this and other specials like this were made, I often think that Rankin Bass was right to put their focus on holiday specials because it enabled them to put on something that at least can be well appreciated for years even if it is only appropriate at a certain time. I for one will watch Rudolph every year until the day I die, same goes for Frosty and any upload of Twas the Night Before Christmas on YouTube that has the song Give Your Heart a Try intact. I haven’t watched all of RB’s specials but only one that I never liked much was Santa Claus is Coming to Town, mainly because of how one of the antagonists has a cop out resolution.
As for The Year Without a Santa, well it’s not my favorite of them but it has it’s enjoyable moments, and without a doubt it’s the two Misers that give most of us like me reason to watch it. I bet Heat Miser would probably love my parody of a Nitty Gritty Dirt Band song that I wrote called Australia Christmas, it’s on my DeviantArt page that my name above shall shamefully link to yet again.
BTW, Merry Christmas and all hope you have a better 2015.
any plans to do another one of those timeline vids like u did last year with superman
