  1. At least one thing ABC manages to get right with airing Peanuts specials, airing the more recent one consecutively after the older one. I just wish there weren’t so many edits.

I like this special but PP was sure crappy to Chuck. I mean inviting herself to dinner and then complaining about the food? Come on! Chuck should have put her in her place for that like he did in a similar scene in Race For Your Life when Chuck offered cereal to the girls…even after the boys were thrown out into the cold the night before. And Snoopy was selfish for keeping that turkey for just himself and Woodstock.

I very strongly agree. It’s my favorite of any of the Peanuts specials but to me, Peppermint Patty was bossy and rude to Charlie Brown, monopolizing their phone conversations and complaining about the nontraditional cuisine. I did like the football scene at the beginning, especially when Lucy pulled the ball away from Charlie Brown. I always cracked up when watching it.

The Priscilla comment was a joke reference to “The Courtship of Miles Standish” which features characters from the Thanksgiving Feast.

that kid reading Charlie Brown’s lines is terrible
